Wiper problem

I have a 2000 F150 4x4. The windshield wipers work when they are suppose to work. The problem is they also just come on when they feel like it. Any suggestions?

mine is the same year same thing work good when I turn them on but sometimes they make a swipe or two whenever. I think it might be the switch.
