Can someone tell the diff between a fluted lense and a spot light?

Can someone tell the diff between a fluted lense and a spot light?

Can someone tell the difference between a fluted light and a spot light? Looking to buy Lights for my Bull guard and want the best light for distance. any advise??

Not too hard. The fluting on a lens will spread the light. If you want driving lights or long range lites, look for ones without any fluting on the lens or a smooth lens. An example is to look at driving lights compared to fog lights. The fogs are fluted and designed to spread the light from side to side. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I know it was a basic question but with some of these lights with more wattage I just didn't know if wattage can over power the fluting and provide some distance also. Thanks again.
