Headlight and turn signal acting odd
Headlight and turn signal acting odd
I got some new headlights, which are driving me nutty due to fitment issues. But the passenger side low beam and turn signal (same side) are acting weird.
the low beam keeps blowing the 10 amp fuse and the turn signal is flashing real fast. The drivers side is totally normal. These are headlights off ebay and have some LED's under the lights as well as halo's around the beams. I wired the ground off the passenger side and power off the drivers side. the LED's and halo's all had individual wires so i sodered them together ground and power seperatley, of course. then ran the new ground and power into a 12 gauge wire. That new wire runs over to the passenger side and supplys power to the passenger side, and the passenger side runs the ground for the side.
edit
ok i know that is a bit oddball. so in a nutshell:
Drivers side factory harness low beam tapped for power
Passenger side factory harness low beam tapped for ground
5 led's and two halos having 1 ground and 1 power each spliced into one 12ga wire and running it to the opposite side.
i did it this way so neither side is strained for power or ground, but looking at it i may be better off tapping each side individually for the power and ground, not sure though. I know the wires and wiring i did is fine. can i just pop a 15 amp fuse in or am i asking for trouble?
