I have a Garmin GPS and a radar detector i want to hard wire. My cigaret lighter has constant power even when the engine is turned off. So i bought a second set of cigaret lighter ports that i can pinch onto another wire. I am not sure which wire i can pinch that turns off when i turn the engine off. I dont wana pinch an important wire that could cause me problems. Any suggestions or easy way to find out?

 

Do you have an aftermarket or stock radio... If your up to that its the black with pink stripe that has a switched 12V power source.. I believe that to be your best bet. There are ignition wires to cut but that is risky
