Today I'm installing my audio system and after taking off the rear seat to mount some amps in my 08 F150 SuperCrew I noticed a ground that is not attached from the factory.
They are on the driver side next to the box with the keypad code on it.
It is two wires together black with orange strip.
There is a place to mount it. But I want to find out what it is before I go hooking it up. Any one know what it is?
I haven't found anything that didn't work.

Any feedback will be helpful.

It's a system ground. You've found the correct mounting point.

All you need is a bolt of the correct size.

By its marking it looks like it was hooked up at one point?

 

It was never hooked up. There are not markings on the strap from a bolt and the bolt hole in the back wall where it would go still has paint in it.

I'd still like to know what system it goes too or if it is just extra grounding or possible grounding to a system I don't have.

 

that is G301. i am looking to see what goes to it....give me a few....sub and rear entertainment module........if yon dont have them, then you dont need it......hope this helps

I have always seen a bunch of connectors for add on/option accessories not connected, but this is the first time I have seen a ground not connected.
