Guy down the street

The guy down the street from me has a F150 like 97 or 98 with the 4.6. Anyways his alarm keeps going off. It's not really the alarm but the panic button you can push and it starts honking and blinking the lights. Well the thing has been going off by its self lately. The other night it went off at 3:00am for like 10 minuets before he got out there. Any ideas what might be wrong with it?

His car battery could be almost dead. he should take it to a place like pep boys and have it tested. That happened to me in my old RSX when the battery was almost dead. its kinda like a pre-warning before you go out there and your car wont start

i might suggest taking the batterys out of the RKE's and seeing if it goes off. i read a long time ago someone having a problem with the contacts in the RKE and it was setting off the panic button.

suggest to him to take out the batterys and see what happens. the RKE's are 10 years old.

RKE? That must be the remote. I will tell him to try that for a few days.

Mine kept going off like that also...Once I kept my 16 month old daughter from playing with my keys, it stopped.
