Question Westin Driving Lights (again)

ive already asked this but i cant seem to figure it out but maybe what im about to say might make some sense so yall cant help me out.

ok ive got a power wire a bunch of grounds and the wires that go to the lights to power them. this set up has a relay and a switch. there is one yellow wire that the manual says is a parking light wire. is this just so the lights can only run when the parking lights are on?

can i just connect this to the battery along with the power wire and itll all work?

i cant figure this out, and all i want is so itll come on when i press the switch i dont want it to only come on when i have this or that on, i want it to come on whenever i press the switch...

can anyone help? thanks

Yes, all that wire does is send power through your switch and to your relay to close the relay and power your lights. You can run this to your battery and you will be able to use them when ever you want-just dont forget to shut them off
