Factory "alarm" light on dash

I looked all over and cannot find an answer. The little red light that is on your dash infront of the drivers side...
1. Is that the sensor for the keyless entry?
2. if I move it under the dash will it still work...
If i'm way off then what is it?
It bothers me and I want it gone. I don't know why, it just does

The front part is the sunload sensor, so you cannot move it for that reason, unless you don't have or don't use the Autolamps.

If you have it, I think that is also tied into the EATC

If you move it, it will always think it is dark out.

Correct. No, you can't move it. No, it's not the antenna for the RKE. I'm sorry if it bothers you.

I always thought the red light blinker was for the keys PATS system or something like that. I had the same blinker in my ranger and didnt have auto dim lights or anything like that. I could be wrong though

Still not really tracking... I understand that it "sees" if it is light outside and I never use the auto on lights but whith the EATC... (Electronic Automatic Temperature Control)? Does that mean thtat if I have the manual, turn ****, air controls that it doesn't effect my A/C and Heat? So.... I don't care about the auto light feature...I can move it? Sorry this is my first new truck and I'm not really up on all this new stuff...I had an 86 Toyota b-4 this...carb and manual windows...simple...Now all this crazy stuff Thanks for the help
