This could be really simple but I need some help. Here is the problem. As soon as I put the key to the on position my truck starts clicking and all the needles on the dash start rapidly shaking and continue to do so even when I take the key out for about 3 seconds. My truck will start if I jump it off and it runs fine but as soon as I turn it off it goes back the the problem. I do have an edge and have had some problem with it when the battery died once before if that helps. Also I have an amp running off the battery too but it has been on there for about 6 months and no problems.

 

Could it be my alternator?

 

a little corrosion on the alternator and terminals, cleaned it up and now everything works fine.
