A friend in Canada who only drives a few short trips each week, has been having her battery go dead on a regular basis. She got a new battery in 2006 and another in 2007. She just bought a Solar Battery Maintainer to try and keep her battery charged. Anyone have any experience with these things ?

She's had it put on a diagnostic machine, and no problems show up.

 

as long as the charger is enough to maintain the battery you should be fine. Just make sure its a battery maintainer and not a charger of you could ruin the battery.
