HID Conversion Kits - Backup H13 bulbs

I have a question regarding the HID conversion kits many members have here:
If one of the HID bulbs burns out, is the existing factory harness in place so I can put a standard H13 bulb in there until a replacement bulb is ordered? My family takes a lot of road trips and I always carry backup bulbs and stuff. Sure I can carry a backup HID bulb, but in the case of a catastrophic failure, can the H13 just plug right back in?

if the hid kit is just pluged in then yeah no problem at all but some require tapping into the factory harness as long as you dont just cut off the factory harness and just tap into the wires then you could even have both on at the same time, so yes as long as you dont cut off the factory plug in which there really is no reason to....

Thanks. I am hoping for a "plug-n-play" type kit but if not, cutting the oem harnesss is definitely not an option!

Most of the HID kits have ballasts which are required to power the mercury bulbs. Obviously, you would have to disconnect the factory plug from the ballast and then attach it to the normal Halogen bulb.
