97 F150 Window Problem

97 F150 Window Problem

my drivers side window on my 97 F150 quit working on me, when you press down on the window button you can hear the battery relay clicking from the fuse box. i disconnected the motor and the clicking still kept on, anybody know whats happening? the passenger side window still works

Sounds like you lost your lift motor.

If it just quit working, I would simply replace the motor.

When you get in the door, you can check for power to the motor from the switch.

I have had window motors actually move when powered out of the door, but still fail to move the window.

i disconnected the motor from the switch and pushed the switch down and the relay still continued to click, checked the switch for power and everytime and had power, i just dont get why the relay clicks? is it cause i need a new motor, is there a way i can check the motor?
