How do you activate Daytime running lights on a 2006?
I imported a 2006 Edpedition Limited with HID's. How do you activate the DRL's without using the Ford "aftermarket" kit that requires you to tap into wires.
I have the wiring diagram for the 2006 Expedition (only that page though, the parts guy printed it) and it shows 2 relays in the Aux Relay box 1 (by the way, where do you find that box?) and 2 fuses in the Central Junction Box (is that the main fuse box under the dash? if so those fuses are in).
Thanks

so i have looked into it. In 2006 they actually made USA and Canada versions which had different Auxlilary relay boxes. The USA one doesn't have a place for the 2 relays that are required. So you have to use the "jobber" kit that Ford sells to make them work. I don't like the work "jobber" but there is no choice.
The Aux box is the size of a camera, is black and is mounted on the engine side of the rad support behind the drivers headlight.
And you cannot just turn it on with the computer. The computer doesn't even show DRL's on the system (USA model). So when your dealers says for $230 they will hook it up and turn them on don't believe them.
