Power Window issue

I have a 92 and the drivers side window stopped working the other day. Fortunately it was up. At first I thought it was a freezing issue but as the days went on and the temps rose ( being a great super sleuth) I figured that not be the issue. I did notice that when I toggle the switch in either position I get a draw on the battery meter. I have not put a muliti meter on it yet but I have removed the door cover to see what I can see.

This seems like a short or a bad motor. Does anyone have an idea, is there something I can trouble shoot. and if it is bad how the heck to I pull the square out through a round hole?

Thanks in advance

To remove the window motor make sure the window is in the up position and put some type of clamp on to hold it there. Then you will have to drill out the rivets that hold the motor in place. Then just disconnect the wiring harness and you should be able to wiggle the motor out through the holes in the door panel (that's how it worked on my '89 F150.)
