This question has probably been asked before, but can I program a new ignition key without going to the dealer. I have one key that is programmed and would like to have a spare, without the cost of going to the dealer. THX.

To program a second key when you only have one requires a visit to the stealership so they can use a computer to do it.

 

once you go to the stealership and get your second key programmed you can do up to I think 8 keys. I had them do my wifes explorer and programmed a third key myself. I have also done this for my 150. This way if I ever do lose a key all I have to do is get another key and I can program it myself.
