Unhappy PLEASE HELP Need to replace fog lamp bulb!

I just went and bought the H3 to replace the 9145 but not sure how to do it.
The 9145 has the twist in housing, the H3 is just a bulb with a wire coming off of it. it may sound stupid but I have no idea how this bulb is supposed to replace the twist in part. any help would be greatly appreciated.

No parts stores around here (lafollette TN) carries them. they said the H3 would fit. The bulb on the twist out part is built into it with 2 metal wires that dont seem to unplug.

Wow, the guys at that advance auto are not real bright.

H3 is not going to fit into the housing for a 9145, and the 9145 bulb does not come apart. Don't know where they got that BS at.

The H ref number for a 9145 is a H10 bulb. H3 is typical for an aftermarket lamp like a PIAA 520 or the likes.

Try an Autozone if you have one around, they have the 9145s on the rack where the headlamps are at in the isle ( in Chicago this is where they are ).

If not, I have read from other members that Walmart carries bulbs as well.

Might want to think about Silverstar bulbs if you want more light output. If one side went out, the other is soon to follow.

If nothing else, you could try Amazon or another online retailer, if you cannot find them local that easy.
