When I start my truck the passenger airbag light comes on saying its off then the light goes out. Is it arming or staying off? Just got the truck and dont know how they operate.

On my 2002, the airbag light comes on when you start the truck, then turns off, it means the airbag is working and is activated. If you turn the airbag off (with the key) the light will stay on, the "airbag OFF" light stays on....if that makes sense.....

should be the same, I think www.motorcraft.com has online owner's manuals

Thanks. Just wonderin if it was OK. My grandaughter rides with us sometimes and my concern was for her. Will check out the site for a manual.
