I would never not have a car not running that I was jumping from. 2cents. Do you have a volt meter? See what you battery reads. Do you have a batt. charger? might try a slow trickle charge for a few hours to see if it brings up the battery and go from there.

x2 on the voltmeter. Sounds like it's very dead. Before you hook up that trickle charger though, I'd disconnect the battery and switch that meter over to ohms and check resistance from pos(+) cable to neg(-) cable or from pos(+) to the chassis. If you destroyed the other battery that quickly, It sounds like you've got a pretty good short some where.

my brother is just gonna go buy a new battery. so you think its a health short?? or could i just have a really dead battery too??(fingers crossed) but i doubt it. this literally happens in the span of a few hours, no battery lights, no hard starts nothing to indicate there was a problem.

it sounds like a really dead battery. Hope that it wasn't caused by a healthy short. better safe than sorry. Check for shorts before you charge or install a new battery. I can't hurt.
