Q about wierd dash switch
I was looking through some interior pictures of a 2001 SCrew, I noticed on the dash under the headlight switch they had what looked like a window switch running sideways, anyone know what this is for??

The switch that is pictured is for the power pedals that I believe are standard on first gen screws there is another switch that is optional right next to it that controls the power rear slider hope that helps

and I believe everyone else is correct, that is what that switch is for.
I don't think power slider was available from the factory until the '02 MY, if not '03. It was probably about brand new in the aftermarket about '01, and it was available from three or four aftermarket manufacturers before it was put into production by Ford.
My '01 was pretty loaded, but did not have either of these on it.
thanks guys, makes sense that it is the power pedals.
Just a thought, how many of you with power pedals acctually use them?? I mean it can't make that big of a difference can it?

Long story short - if you are 6' 6" and your spouse is 5' 2" you have a use for the adjustable pedals.

Got ya, cool feature never knew Ford put memory settings in their trucks.
Wouldn't really help me as I am 5'11" and the wife is 5'10"
