Headlight problem

1996 f-150, E. Bauer, auto, supercab, daily driver.

Driving home the other night, I noticed that my rt. turn signal indicator on the dash was glowing steady, and that the right turn signal didn't seem to be working.
I stopped and made a lap around the truck and noted that neither the turn signal nor the clearance light (runing light) seemed to be working.
The next day I went to the parts store to try to find which bulb needed to be replaced..that's when I noticed that none of the lights on the rt. front were working...with the headlight switch on.
Lateron...still daylight I took the headlight bulb from the light assembly, turned to rt. signal on and noted that the headlight bulb was flashing in time with the turn signal ( althouogh very dimly.
I removed the headligfht bulb completely from it's wiring harness, and now both the rt. turn signal and running lights seems to be working normally.
Anyone got any suggestions?
I should also mention that there has been no recent damage or impact to the vehicle that might have caused these problems.
I sure could use some help here. Thanks.

Sounds like the battery is loose, and it has chafed the wiring harness going there, or broken the ground wire off.
