7 pin wiring
I have an 2005 ford f250 crew cab FX4 and somebody cut out my 7pin harness on the tow bar. I got a replacement harness from Ford, but all the wires are black and know i don't know which wires hookup to which wires and I'm having to splice them in, anybody out there have any diagrams or can tell me where to look for a diagram to tell which wire goes where? Thanks in advance wlsmithjr1960https://www.f150online.com/forums/images/icons/icon9.gif

If it got cut by the Class IV hitch, then the new one from Ford should have had the connector on it, similar to this :
If you got a brand XYZ, then you could be in for it, depending on where you are splicing it at.
Q1. Do you have a diesel or gas F-250 ?
Q2. Do you have the Trailer Brake Control Module ? ( I think this is the factory brake controller built in, if I am not mistaken )
There are a few different diagrams, depending on what you have. The diagrams show the standard wire colors to the connector, and then after that, the Ford harness colors.

7 pin wiring for 2005 f250
I have a diesel, but not the factory brake controller. Somebody cut my 7 pin connector off and I got a repair kit from Ford. The wires on the repair kit are all black and no instructions on which wire hooks to the cut wires on the back where the 7 pin harness was cut,I just want to make sure I get the right wires hooked up!!!! Thanks for the reply wlsmithjr1960.
PS: the color of the wires have changed which is what I'm having the problem with, and the 05 doesn't have a connector to change out.

The EVTM pages uploaded like crap. There is too much detail on them, to use the upload to album option.
Drop me an email via my profile, with an email address that I can send them to you.
It will be a zip file with PDFs in it, let me know what you want it named, so you get it. That last round of phishing crap with the zip and pdf files was very annoying, and most turned off these file extension types.
I'll send all 10 pages from the F-250 EVTM cell 95 ( trailer tow adapter ), so you have them all.
Use these with Steve's diagram above, to get the correct 4 & 7 pin location to the wiring harness.
