Found Source of Chiming when Keys are Out of the Ignition!

This is why my truck started chiming at me when I opened the door and the keys weren't in the ignition.

Now, does anyone know the name of this harness? It includes that clip piece and goes to the steering wheel as well?

Time to learn how resizing photos works...

Seriously, I just clipped the purple/black wire and never looked back...

Maybe it's time you learn some manners.....

I resized them just for you.

I used to have dial up when I lived in the woods. I realize how ticked off you must have been waiting for that huge picture to download......

Looks like part of the PATS system to me. This is the security device that only allows programmed keys start the truck.

I had to wrap my remote start bypass harness around the ignition cylinder - and that looks exactly like it.
