Power locks work inconsistantly
I have been having an issue with my power locks in my 1999 150. Sometimes they work fine. Sometimes have to press the remote lock or unlock numerous times to get them to pop. Often one side or the other will open and sometimes neither. Same thing when locking. Sometimes will lock but the horn will always sound when locking whether the actuators work or not. Even when they don't work properly you can hear them trying. If one or the other was dead I would say bad actuator.
Question for anyone in the know is--- Should I replace the actuators or is this the cause of some other electrical componant. I noticed a mention in the electrical diagram in my chilton's of a "remote entry module" but don't find it listed anywhere else or the location of it for that matter.
Thanks!!
