Question Door Entry Keypad

Newbie here. Glad I found this site!

I recently purchased a 2004 FX4 that I have a problem locating the control module where the 5-digit code is to re-set the keypad. Does anyone know where it might be located?

I've looked under the passenger side where the fuse box is and under the hood.

What have I missed?

Thanks in advance.

Do you have your manual??? If I remember right (I did this about 3 years ago!) you have to punch in the master code and then maybe hit another button and punch in your new code. It was in my manual... but thats outside in the parking lot right now.

If you don't have the master code (the one that Ford programmed in) I don't think you can do it. Perhaps a dealer could tell you?

The control module is behind the rear seat.

Thanks. I have already checked the manual and it gives no clue as to where the control module is. I'll look as soon as I can.

Standard cab trucks, it is behind the C- Pillar cover, about where the rear speaker is at.

Super Cab and Super Crew it is behind the rear seat.
