Thumbs up '99 F-150 No Start

Yesterday, I went to start my truck... nothing. The only sound I heard was the starter relay clicking. This morning, I tried a jump; still nothing. I finally crawled underneath to look at the starter. I pulled off the wiring cover and there it was... the hot wire terminal was corroded and broke. I stopped at our starter/alternator rebuilder and bought a new terminal; size #4 with 5/16 eyelet. I cut the old off with a dremel and crimped on the new one. It fired right up, of course.

I decided that since I had the battery disconnected anyway, I replaced it with another Motorcraft. MY ORIGINAL BATTERY LASTED EIGHT YEARS! Not bad. It was still working and didn't feel weak, but I thought it was time. This was the first time it was ever disconnected.
