Question Help Needed - Remove/Reinstall Antenna Housing

The antenna on my 2002 F-150 was recently snapped off by a vandal. Unfortunately about a 1/4" of the threaded shank of antenna still remains in the bottom of the housing on the side quarter panel.
Can anyone describe how to remove and replace the entire antenna housing from the quarter panel?

Have you tried an easy out?Its a small drill bit and an extractor that I use all the time to get bolts that snap off to come out.You can get them at sears and most other places just get one the size you need and use it then all you need is a new mast for the truck.

good idea and I did attempt this however I unfortuntely damaged the internal threads of the housing, hence the need to remove and replace the entire assembly.

On most cars there is a nut and washer on the back side of the fender that holds it in place I dont see why these trucks would be diffrent. If its a base with the wire pre connected the only tip I have is to connect a length of string to the old wire behind the radio. When you pull the old wire out it will pull the string thru as well then use the string to pull the new wire back into the radio.
