Dead Sliding rear window

The rear sliding window in my 05 stopped working. No noise or anything. I went looking for a fuse but there isn't one labeled specifically for that. Is it the Power Windows fuse? Everything else seems to work.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

In a fit of frustration I just started tapping the switch quickly forward and back and all of a sudden it started working. Must have been corrosion on the switch contacts. I hadn't used it in quite a while.

Does anyone know which fuse the sliding window is on? My 04 had the same problem and I did the same thing to get it to work. Unfortunately it is now DEAD. I wouldn't mind checking out fuses first before I get to the expensive stuff but the manual doesn't list power sliding rear window. Thanks.

When I bought my 2006 F-150 Supercrew with the power sliding rear window it was DOA from the Factory. when I test drove it..dealership fixed it before I picked it up but when I asked specifically what the problem was they said that the ground wire was loose. Not sure if that was true or where the ground wire was that they were refering to but its something you might want to check.

The glass sticks to the rubber if in a humid climate plus the motors are weak to begin with but if you lube the track it will work fine for a while till it needs lube again.

Race,
I ended up pushing on the edges of the window for a while and tried the button. It has been working since then.

Lol - had the same problem, had tried the switch several times, but not "furiously" as dugan13 said. I came here to try to find out how to get to the motor, etc.
After reading this thread, I went out one more time and went nuts on the switch for about 4-5 minutes, and the window decided it should open up all of the sudden. Can't believe how simple it was compared to what I was expecting to have to do!

This is why I love this forum! Thanks guys.

My sliding rear window was having the same problems... first it only worked intermittently, then not at all. Yesterday I was messing with it just for the hell of it, and it started working again! It's also colder here (in the 60's) than it’s been in a while.

I still think I'm going to have it looked at before I hit 36k miles.

I have not had a problem with slider in 2 1/2 years. About 1 a month I open & close the slider. Check out the TSB's for a resolution.

I did the exact same thing, and mine started working again too. Hope everyone's solution is this simple.

I did exactly that Dugan13 as well and when it started working I lubed the crap out of it with some silicone spray. I also took the overhead panel off where the switch is as it pops off easily with no tools required, and I cleaned the contact points and sprayed those too. Thanks for the idea
