im trying to hook up my edge and the technicial said that my problem may be blown fuses, but i do not know how to check for them. how do i figure out whether i have blown fuses on the connection from my data-link OBDII connector to my PCM??

 

First look at all the pins on the DLC for being bent or pushed in.
Next, pin 16 is fused to operate any device designed to be attached to the port.
Look at you owners manuel to see what fuse is accociated with the DLC port.
Measure the voltage at that pin to see if it is missing.
Last pin on the lower right side.

 

does your edge turn on when you plug it in? if it does then a fuse is not your problem

 

ya the edge turns on and asks for the disclaimer, but then it fails to read my trucks HEX code. so not a fuse then? so its probably just a defective programmer huh?
