One trailer light out.

I have a quick question for some electric genuis here. I have a trailer that I bought new. It's a triton ATV 88 flatbed trailer. I only had this for about 1 month. Everything worked fine when I brought it home and it sat in the driveway for about 3 weeks, I decided to load it up just to take it for a spin and when I hooked up the 4way flat the left turn signal wasn't working. Everything else worked. When I used it last everything was ok, all the lghts worked. Now this is the problem. I did all the troubleshooting I could do. When the sealed light unit was taken out and unplugged, I used a test light and I could see it flashing with the turn signal. Once I plugged in the light it would flash for about 1 second then stop. No blown fuses or anything. After I unplugged the light and then plugged it back in it would flash again for 1 second and then stop. I bought another light assembly and still the same thing. It only happens on the left side(Drivers side). I have no idea what it could be. Do you think it could be a bad ground? THe trailer is aluminum so it isn't grounded to the trailer the only place it's grounded it to my truck. Do you think that the ground needs to be cleaned and this light is the last light on the string of wire. I know the trailer is new so it's still under warranty. My only problem is I need this trailer for an upcoming event and the manufacuter says I won't have it back for 90 days. Is there anyone with any advice that would help me with this situation?

Make sure all your lights work on your truck (turn signals and brake lights). I think there is also a a fuse on your truck for the trailer lights (should be in fuse box). clean up your ground and make sure there are no frayed or cuts wires. Last time i had a problem like this it was because one of my turn signal lamps on my truck was blown. Good luck. Let us know if you figure it out.

Q1. Do the Stop lamp work all the time on the S/T/T light head ?
1.1. You only make note of the turn signal, do the stop lamps work continually ?

Q2. If you swap the light heads drivers to pass side, does the problem stay with the light head or the connector / wiring harness ( pass on the driver's side has the same symptom ) ?
2.1. Trying to find out if the problem is with the light head or connector.

Q3. do the connector pins look dis-colored or bent ?
3.1. Trying to see if it is a loose connector

Light out

I'm sorry I forgot to mension that this was on my wifes car and she has a 07 ford escape. I wired in a modulite controller. Everything was working good for awhile than poof this happened. I found out what the problems is at 2:30 in the morning because I couldn't sleep. I took a new light that I had bought and wired it right off of the 4 way flat coming from the car and it did the same thing, tow light would only blink once and the car's turn signal would still be blinking. SO right there I knew it was the modulite unit. Called up the company and they said I'm the 3rd guy this month to complain about it not working so they are sending me a new one no charge. I get it in a couple of days.. WOO HOO

Thanks everybody for all of the help
