First off let me say I've looked at all the previous threads on this topic and let me say wow! What a great job everyone has done. And now on to the question(s). I'm doing this mod this weekend, however I never saw anywhere that where someone resolved the puddle lamp issue. Is there a solution floating around out there.

Second, I called my local dealer the the other day to order the mirrors, and apparently they've been replaced by new part numbers. The new ones are now 5L3Z 17683-AAB and 6L3Z 17682-GA. Anyone know if theres going to be any difference? I don't want to get in to it only to discover that these newer mirrors won't work on a 2005. I may still be able to get the older ones, although its still a bit questionable. Any advice? Should I try for the older one's to assure myself of a relatively easy install, or go for the newer ones?
