Remote Starter Acting Up... Please Help

I have a 2002 F-150, Canadian spec, that I purchased in Alaska. The truck came with a remote starter, which I beleive is some sort of factory starter, rather than aftermarket. Recently, the system started acting up. Under normal operation, I hit the lock/unlock buttons once to operate the locks, and a second time to honk the horn for verification, and I hold the start button for three seconds to start the truck. Now, on a single press of the lock unlock button, the locks operate, but the horn also honks on that first press, and when I hold the start button, the truck just honks three times at me, and does not start. If anyone knows what may be causing this, please help. Thank you.

Either your hood pin switch is bad so the system thinks the hood is not closed or the remote starter switch is turned off. Normally the remote starter switch is on the dash somewhere.
