Window motor

A few months back I had trouble with my driver side window not working so I did like everyone said and pulled the motor out and hit it against the tire then put it back in and it worked fine for a few months and it quit working almost all together now. I can get the window to operate fine in the early morning when the temperature is cooler, but if I wait and it starts getting warm outside it won't budge, and the relay does it's typical click. I will end up replacing it next week, but has anyone else come across their window acting this way with certain outside temperatures? If so, why would the heat be affecting it? Just a bit curious.

Sometimes the rubber around the window will stick to the glass and not let it come down. The motor is only strong enough to move the window without it binding. You might try silicone on the rubber window seal to keep it from sticking .
