Cigarette Lighter...

Exclamation Cigarette Lighter...

i have outlets in my truck one for the lighter and another for an extra well i needed both of them and i unplugged the lighter and it would charge my cell or do anything but i put the lighter back in it and it heated the lighter...is the fuse the same on both of them or what can cause this...can i just put a bigger fuse if they are different..thanks for all your help...

The lighter and the auxillary power point are on separate fuses.

See your owner's manual.

ok thats what i needed to know...if the cigarette lighter has a smaller fuse can i put the same size fuse as the auxillary has in it...or is that not possible?

dont start messing with fuses. whatever is there is what its rated for.
