Police/ Fire/ EMS Wiring.... EXPLOSION
Police/ Fire/ EMS Wiring.... EXPLOSION
Ok, I added police and explosion in the title so I hope I have your attention
I currently have a 4ga amp kit running from my battery through the fire wall and resting under my seat. I am looking for some sort of fuse panel in which I can run the 4ga to and from that power a number of automotive ATC blade fuses. These blade fuses are going to run my LEDS, siren, etc.
Anyone have any ideas. I could really use some help on this.
TIA

Depends on what you want it to look like when finished.
Napa has the ATC fuse panels like in the diagram above. Various slot counts, they are listed in the Napa parts catalog, they might not have them in the store. A neutral bus from Home Depot would work for the ground side. The finished product would look something like this :

The other option is Centech.

They make a nice fuse panel, that quite a few Sport touring riders use. This gives you a 5 fuse slot unit, with a cover, and the ground bar is under the cover on the other side. This is the AP-1 unit

They also make larger ones, with the same design like the PDP-1B.
Painless Wiring also makes similar type fuse panels. Summit racing carries this line.
Those are the quick options I can think of, without knowing what you are looking for specifically.

Here's another off the wall suggestion. If you want to minimize the wire run from the battery to the aux. fuse box, you might want to consider keeping it under the hood. There's a lot more room there too. To do that, you need something weather proof. I might suggest a marine fuse box rated for salt water use. West Marine has a few that might just work for you. Remember, if you do have a significant (over 18") run of wire between the battery and the aux. box, you should probably add a maxi fuse or breaker in line.

Thanks for the replies!
The one in the first image would work perfectly. I will contact NAPA shortly and move from there. Thanks again!

6 position ATC Fuse Block, about 1/3rd the way down the page.
The Napa ones look like the picture you posted, where the power is in from the bottom, and output is on both sides. I could not use this style on my bike, due to space considerations.
Don't know if you care which way the access is, but I thought I'd give you the specific on the fuse panel on my bike.
2Stroked does make another that I forgot. Westmarine catalog, or the store outlet for them is BoatsUSA, also has fuse panels, but you do pay the price on the "marine" application.
