If you have a truck with PATS, your $10 unit won't cut the mustard at all.
You need to find a company that has a system that will work with Ford's system.
There is one out there but you find it.
Type into your browser bar 'Ford Pats REMOTE START'.

I would worry about a $10 system. mine was about $300. Also, if you just hook up the keyless entry, you should have gotten just a regular alarm system. But hey, whats done is done.

I would say go to a pro unless you know how to wire up relays and actuators. It is a bit of work.

well its a bulldog security one and i bought it at a swap meet and it was new in the box so i assumed it might work...and yes just a regular keyless entry system would have worked but for 10 bucks i figured it was worth a try...sounds like i'll just take it to a pro and let them hook everything up right....o btw my truck doesnt' have PATS..its a 98
