I agree
Read this, note the last 3 post

If his truck was stolen I am very sorry for that.
I am not sorry for stating that based on his post, he sounds like a potential thief who wants information on how to steal an F150 with a PATS system.

This guy wants to find out how to get around the pats system so he can go steal a truck... What a scam. So if he really found out how to get around the pats, and his truck was really stolen, he would tell his insurance company how to steal a truck, then they would say ok, i believe you now.... YEA RIGHT nice try bud..

( spelled out in the fine print ). The company he uses might have a rider for something akin to this with anti theft inoperable = no coverage.
Sad that you would rather argue with me about the fine print in coverage because you failed to understand what he was trying to achieve with his post...

Insurance in Canada must be dirt cheap and very lucrative because based on your explanation they would never have to pay out if a car equiped with a security device was stolen.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

my '04 supercrew xlt was parked and locked up in my driveway. we bought her new and i have a key and my wife has her key and now all we got is a door lock cylinder that was left in the driveway. my truck got stolen and my insurance company is saying it can't be because i got the PATS anti theft. i know my truck is gone and i did n't steal it like my insurance company is hinting so how was my truck stolen??? any help appreciated, i gotta do battle now with the insurance.
Considering that it's only this guy's 2nd post, please do not teach anyone how to steal our trucks.

ok guys, i am not some guy trying to steal an f150 and yes i do live in Canada. just to let you all know that my truk has been found about 1500 miles east of here. the cop that called says a guy was using my truck to move back east, guess he couldn't afford a u-haul. the right front door lock is popped out and the ignition is punched out. still don't know how he got around the PATS but my insurer is bringing her back home and will be making the repairs.
i thank those of you who seemed to understand my predicament with the insurer and for the others that posted negative replies i hope you never have a similar problem.

1. You assume you know what he is doing. You really have no way of telling, just like I don't. Please don't take your assumptions, and try to present them as fact.

2. What are you talking about arguing ? This is a partial quote from Post #11. Is there a reason you went to that post ? Try reading post #14
If you actually read what I wrote, it comes down to what the fine print says for his insurance company. That is what the 2 examples given were trying to get to ( when "normal" coverage is denied ). I have no idea what it says, do you ?
I know this is a rehash of post #14, but you seemed to have missed that, and went back to post #11.

Any other partial quotes you would like to present as authored by me ?

BTW : Got that "simple internet search " URL ? I asked for it in post #14. Just trying to see how hard it is to come out of the coma.
If you read my post #8, it is spelled out fairly clearly what would be needed to nick a Ford with PATS.
Cost a bit of money, but the phrase of " Where there is a will there is a way" is correct. About 3,000.00 in parts and equipment, and anyone would be able to nick any Ford PATS vehicle. How easy is is to get the equipment, got me I never tried. Maybe hard, maybe easy ?? Is that your simple internet search ( as I did not find the method I posted with a few term trys, and this method is in every Ford service manual. )

No, I did not say that. If you would like to infer this, not much I can do about it, just don't sign my name to it please.

gordn,

Where are you located? If you produce a police report as proof of the loss the insurance company must pay. But, they have 60 days to do so. FWIW it is so F'ing easy to steal an F-150. All you need to do is back up to it and load it on the the flatbed. If you cannot afford one use a tow truck and lift it up by the back wheels. To make it harder for them to take it back it into the driveway and turn your wheels all the way to the left and lock the wheel They will have to use a flat bed because they cannot get behind it to tow and they will have to break into it to straighten the wheels.

I know I am reviving an old thread here but just thought I would throw in my 2 cents. Tons of cars are stolen with Recovery Trucks just like the Repo Men use. The driver can scoop up a car without ever getting out of the truck. Unfortunate for them on rear wheel drive vehicles they need to get inside and throw them in neutral or if the wheel is straight they just go in at the rear wheels I know a lot of people who have had their trucks stolen just so someone can haul something. Someone stole my uncles piece of **** van from in front of his house and the cops found it like an hour away in an alley is Washington DC with a Motorcycle in the back that was stolen from the guy up the street from him. My dad also had his 1986 Stripped out Toyota Pick-up (those little turd 4x2's you could buy new for like $6,000 back in the late 80's) stolen and the only reason someone would have stolen that turd was to haul something, I mean the thing did not even have a radio in it. For you young guys out there, yes prior to the 1990's a Radio was an option in a car.
