Blowing Fuse

I tow a boat alot with my truck, and when I'm in a hilly area, or in town, I like to turn off my overdrive. Lately, my fuse has been blowing that operates this. I can put a new fuse in, and it will work for a couple of days, but then I can get in my truck and start it, and its already blown. It doesn't blow while in use, so I dont know what the problem is. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks.

Remove the column shrouds and repair the small wire harness where it comes out of the shift lever. Yours has rubbed through the insulation and is intermittently shorting out and blowing the fuse.
