Question Power and Ground color

Ok, so.... I'm trying to wire in an ipod cable to my pioneer head unit.... the plug fits right with the multi-disc input on the head unit, however the ipod cable also needs power to it as well. I usually have no problems wiring in things or hooking up stereos, but this case is a little different. The previous owner of my truck (a-hole for many reasons) cut off the factory wiring harness, leaving just the wires behind... I had a shop install this pioneer in there, just bc I didn't feel like messing with it. Anyway, I am wondering if anyone knows which is the power and ground on a 2001 F150 (I guess by color, or possibly know how to test) This would be a great help...

Thanks,

-biz

Try the black wire for ground and the red wire for 12+. I have a 2001 supercrew and the red wire is a switched wire but it is on a 5 amp fuse, found this out the hard way by trying to use this wire for something that draws more than 5 amps.
