left turn signal

hi,

i have a 01 f-150 and having some trouble with the left turn signal. Doesnt blink in the front but the rear goes into double speed almost causing to believe that the front bulb was blown out. Any suggestions? I tried to research online but couldnt come with a proper solution to this problem. Any help is greatly appreciated since i just bought the truck a few days ago with 65K miles. So im going to be regular on here, but I will try not to ask too many stupid questions!!! Thanks

Yup, that sounds like a correct diagnosis. If the right turn signal blinks as it should, and the left one behaves as you've described then you're either dealing with a bad bulb in the front left or a wiring issue. I'd just change out that bulb and see where things go from there. The bulb is certainly the easiest and cheapest place to start.

On an unrelated note, Welcome to the site! You may find the search feature helpful when needing advice about something you are worried might be a dumb question. Just go to the home page, type in the word or phrase you are looking for, make sure the "search f150online" radio button is selected and then search away.

Don't worry too much about asking questions, though. After all, that is why the site is here. Again, welcome.--DIY
