Reverse Backup Sensors

Has anyone installed the factory reverse backup sensors on a 05 F150 FX4? What are the parts needed and how difficult is the process? I know there is already part of the wiring harness at the dash w/out the actual button, but how about the rest?

There are many aftermarket systems that would probably be cheaper. Do some Google, Amazon, or Yahoo shopping.

I can try to pull some wire diagrams up for you tomorrow, so you can compare to what you have on your truck already

I have an aftermarket system that I bought for my 99 and did not install. It is a really nice system with four sensors, on-off switch, and digital display (display reads in feet, not meters like many of the systems). E-Mail or PM me for more info on it if you are interested.

How about posting the source & approximate price? I'm curious about it, and probably many others.

I bought it on E-Bay for around $150 shipped about 10 months or so ago.

The kit includes the module, external buzzer, dashboard display (which reads in feet, not meters like many of the inexpensive kits), on/off switch, four sensors specifically for metal bumpers, and splice connectors and zip ties.

You will need to drill 3/4" holes in the bumper for the sensors on this kit and I would recommend wrapping the sensor wires in wire loom to protect them under the truck.
