On a 1999 Expedition/Navigator (per wiring dia) is in the "Crentral Junction Box". The C J box is located under left side of dash. Remember this is for a 99' but may be the same.
This should be shown in the owners manual which can be downloaded from Ford's website if you don't have one. It shows 3 big relays and 2 small relays with Battery Saver Relay being the 2nd small one from the corner. No where does it refer to it as R-304 only by name..........

My service disc does not show a relay as such.
If you can tell what it's for I should be able to chase it down.

the R304 is the part number stamped on top of the relay i believe. And i think that relay is under the dash along with all the mini fuses

I assume you are asking the location for the battery saver relay, as the owners manual on pg 258 : Note: Relays R301–R305 are not serviceable component

I checked the owners manuals from 2003 to 2005, to make sure the CJB looked the same, as I only have a 2005 EVTM

The service manual says that R304 is in the CJB, but it does not show on page 11-1 ( CJB diagrams & connectors ).

The connector for the battery saver relay ( c270e ) shows in the passenger side kick panel, where the CJB is at. The back and side view of the CJB do not show any place to put in a relay on the exterior of the CJB.
The connector C270e is on the top right hand side of the face of the CJB, so those relays have to be in there some where.

Sorry, I am at a loss, as to where in the CJB those 5 relays are at.

One of 2 things.
1. Why are you looking for it ( problem, or are you trying to add something )
2. Take it to your dealer, and ask them to show you where it is at ( don't know how far this would go ).

Strange part is the service manual has the standard Ford relay part number for that relay ??
