How can the "service engine soon" light be turned off?

 

Some auto parts places will do it for free, and you can also disconnect the battery to reset it. Leave it disconnected for about 10-30 min and see if that does it. If it's an intermittent problem it should stay off for a little while, but if it's a continuous problem it'll turn right back on.

 

If there is a fault, it will come back on
Just so you are awhere.

 

It's always a better idea to find out WHY it is on instead of just shutting it off.
