Mario,
In my manual it says to push the garage door button and the button you want to program and hold the garage door opener near the visor for like 10 seconds or until it flashes fast. If im wrong im sorry but i remember doin it that way.

The procedure is a bit different between opener types.

If you have a standard opener, you train the homelink button to the remote as described above.

If you have a rolling code opener ( newer Chamberlin, Sears, etc ) then you need to train the remote to the homelink button, and then train the homelink button to the opener.

The owners manual for your opener will indicate if you have a rolling code type or not.

Your owners manual starting on page 68 ( 5th printing ) describes in detail the procedure to follow for the 2 different types. This is listed in the index under garage door opener homelink.

If you don't have all the manuals, or yours is missing pages, download them free from Ford.
