No running lights on trailer

Hooked up trailer and have no running lights everthing else works. The tail lights work on the truck but no power to the plug. Is there a comon problem that some one has had with the running lights. I peeled back the wire wrapping a little ways up from the plug and no power there also. I have to find out where it connects to the harness and check for power there next. Is there a fuse for just the running lights for trailer?

Thanks
Duane

its a 03 ex cab 4x4

I had the same issue last week and yes there seems to be a separate fuse for the trailer running lights check your owners manual but in my 06 i think it was 10 or 11 location

Similar symptoms, same MY truck.

At the moment, 6 threads down in this forum :

This gives the fuse and relay locations to check.

20 amp fuse blown under the hood. I am not shure what number it was but replaced that and the lights now work.

I have had the same problem with my truck. It's a 2003 and I first thought it was a short in the trailer casing the issue. I have since then used several different trailers and it's rather random!! It makes it very frustrating to find!! I have replaced the fuse about 20 times in the last year and I will be replacing the plug shortly. There is some corrosion in there and I think that might be causing my problems.... At only 50 bucks it's a cheap try.
