Temp. Control ***** not lighting up...

Hey guys, ever since a few days ago, my ***** for fan speed, hot/cold air/ vent selector will not light up when the headlights are on. I have checked the fuses and they are all good. I have a 97, F-150. Is there bulbs behind there that could be burnt out??

Thanks.

Steve,

I had the same problem on my '99 XLT.

Had to replace both bulbs on the back side of the assembly.

Pretty easy job, just pull the trim bezel (mine included 2 vents, 4x4 switch, and passenger air bag switch), and remove the four screws for the HVAC selector/fan speed/temp adjust.

Then remove the holders/bulbs on the back side. The holders for the bulbs were like quarter turn to remove from the circuit board. Once removed, the bulbs pulled straight out of the holders.

Good luck.

From: Susquehanna Valley, pa.
the cover around the radio just unclips and pops off.

you can then access the 4 screws holding the heater control in place.
