Door keypad question
I have an 04 f-150, and the book says that the door keypad code is on the computer. But that's all it says, so the question is where would the "computer" be? I have called 3 different dealers and all 3 told me someplace different ( says alot for the dealers service department.). If anyone knows where to find it, let me know.
Thanks,

as for the ''computer'' i believe they are reffering to the trucks internal data system.

I'm not positive about an 04, but my 01 has the code under the dash on the driver's side above the brake pedal. Lay on your back in the driver's side floorboard and look up in the dash. You should see a white label with a 5 digit code.
On the '04+ the factory code is on the BSM / VSM.
This is located in 1 of 2 places, depending on the cab style.
If you have a standard cab, it is in the B-pillar, just below the speaker ( or is that just above ? )
If you have a SCab or SCrew, it is behind the rear seat, which the directions on removal are here ( actually mostly pics ):

This is the same sticker that others have posted for the up to '03 ( and '04 Heritage & L ) which this is the RAP / CSM.

Thanks SSCULLY
Just wanted to throw a quick thankyou out to all that replied, and to SSCULLY, thanks for the link to the pics to. It took all of five minutes to yank the seat out and retrive the number, and it saved me 50 bucks. Maybe i should email the link to the service departments i called, lol. I definitely appreciate it, and thankyou again.
