Keyless entry keyfob

hey all,

i put a keyless entry system on my 1999 f-150 not long ago. the kit was put on at best buy i think and it works good. the only thing im not happy with is the range of the transmitter is not very far, maybe 30 feet. is there any way to increase the range of my transmitter so i could unlock it from maybe 60, 70, 100 feet.

thanks josh

Locate the antenna wire and make sure it is as high as possible.

it takes some work buy you can actually add an additional battery that can power your alarm, key less remote and other. It prob isn't what you are looking for buy a custom work shop should be able to at least up the range a little by boosting the power to the receiver.

Only the after market remote systems have a longer range.Get a remote starter setup and you will have the range you want.Read the range they have on the sites that sell them and the dealers will tell you too.
