i found a gauge cluster with a stock tac, and i was thinking about putting it in. so my question, does the milage log to the computer or the cluster, computer is my guess. just didnt want to put in new cluster and have 5000,000 miles on the truck. so does the computer hold the milagae?

'92-93 instrument clusters are not interchangeable with '94-96, but all the parts inside are. You need a '92-93 tachometer cluster housing & film circuit, at the very least before you can add a stock tachometer. It's easy to disassemble & reassemble those clusters, so you can put your original speedo into the tach cluster.

You can also modify it to display a real oil pressure reading & even add a low fuel warning light.
