i have a 2003 f150 fx4 supercrew, i am wanting to make my fog lights come on when my headlights are on. i know you can turn the headlights on and pull it out, but i would like to keep the lights on the automatic position and when it gets dark the lights and fog lights will come on. does anyone have a wiring diagram or what wires to splice into??

 

On the headlight switch connector, install a jumper from pin 2 (Wh/Bk) to pin 5 (Y). Anytime the headlights are on, so will the fog lights.

 

While my 2002 Lariat SCREW was just like your 2003, my 2006 Lariat SCREW allows you to turn on the fog lights in the automatic position. I guess a lot of people wanted it that way, and Ford listened. Maybe, the answer is a newer light switch?

 

The problem with only installing the jumper is that you then cannot run the headlights WITHOUT the fog lights....

All you need to do is modify the ramp inside the switch to allow you to pull out the switch in the autolamp position, and jumper the two wires from the traditional fog light mod, cutting the OEM power feed.

No. On a '97, jumper from Y (pin 2) to Bk (pin 1).
