Hard-Wire

I have a Midland CB in my truck which I use in my cig-lighter. I was wondering how hard it is to hard-wire the sucker to my truck so it turns on when I start it up. I suck..and I mean suck, at Electrical stuff (I don't think my brain was wired for it...get it haha) but anyway I really don't want to mess anything up when I do it on Friday, that is if I get some info on how to do it. How hard is it to do? and how much time will it take? Will it mess up anything (as far as my edge running etc.) Please help! Thanks ahead of time.

It's just like wiring up anything else. Power, ground, fuse. A relay never hurts. Just look at a typical fog light wiring diagram that uses a relay, run the switch wire to the factory radio turn-on wire, and delete the switch from that circuit. That'll trip the relay whenever the factory radio is on, powering the CB thru the dedicated fuse. No circuit overloading; no turning the CB on/off every time you get in.
